You install it by plugging it in, connecting a garden hose to it and placing it on your pool cover. The built in diaphragm switch will turn the pump on & off protecting your cover and extending its life (see our
step by step installation instructions).
It comes with a stabilizing foot plate that will keep it upright and ready for action.
It's a versatile pump too, you can also use it on flat rooftops or remove the base plate & the on/off switch and use it as a manual utility pump any time you need it (it's great at emptying hot tubs, washing machines, wet bars etc.).
The switch will automatically turn on the pump when the water level rises 2-1/4" and switch the pump back off when the water's been pumped down to 1-1/2"
